Community traditions of Russian Cossacks in the context of globalization

The article analyses modern trends related to decline in cultural traditions in Russia under globalisation processes. The author states that in current situation experience of Russian Cossacks shall be applied to preserve original communal traditions.

Donetsk-Makeevka agglomeration: the development of cross-border cooperation

Urban processes in the border lead to the formation of new forms of local integration - cross border agglomerations. A special place they are playing for the unrecognized states, which are the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republic, acting as a “bridge” their natural integration with the Russian Federation and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Modern Ukrainian crisis and relations of the Russian Federation and the European Union in the context of European security

In this article the author examines the relationship between Russia and the EU in the context of contemporary Ukrainian crisis of late 2013 beginning of 2014. This problem is addressed in the context of the changing geopolitical situation in Europe since the collapse of the bipolar world and the collapse of the USSR. Ukrainian crisis is central to determining the future of relations between Russia and the EU in the field of security in the new conditions of international order.

Would Cossack woman - Cossacks will

The article emphasizes the importance of the role played by women in the Cossack community. Systemically nature of Cossack status is to perform a variety of social roles: wife, mother, warrior. The combination of economic, social and cultural functions of female Cossack create the necessary structural balance in the Cossack community.

Pedagogical contribution to the non-military image of the Cossacks

Despite the fact that in ordinary consciousness the Cossacks images associated with military service, among the Cossacks there were many outstanding writers, artists, musicians, philosophers, travelers and scientists. Not only their work, but also active social activities have contributed to the formation of non-military image of the Cossacks. The roots of this image go especially to Cossack pedagogy.

Participation Ussuri Cossacks in the elections and the work of their representatives in the State Duma of the Russian Empire

The article deals with the elections in the parliament Russian Empire of the Ussuri Cossack. Analyzes the legislation regulating the election process on the territory of the Ussuri Cossack Host. It is shown that the activity of representatives of the Far East of the Cossacks in the State Duma.

Specifications of functionality of cultural diplomacy institutes and their place in Russian Federation Policy

The article considers the diverse goals and objectives of the cultural policy of the Russian Federation, recorded in the official project «Fundamentals of State Cultural Policy» in 2014. Cultural policy is one of the priority directions of the state policy allowing to unite cultural space of the Russian Federation and to blend together unity and diversity. Moreover it is an integral part of the national security strategy of the Russian Federation.
All the totality of competent actions in the field of cultural policy has a great importance for the preservation, development and dissemination of cultural values of diverse peoples living in the Russian Federation.
The paper gives an overview of previous studies devoted to the interaction of politics and culture, and identification of a wide range of issues in cultural policy.
One of the main features of this article is a comprehensive up-to-date analysis of the cultural policy of the Russian Federation considering the new realities of globalization, approaches to cultural policy and activities of key institutions responsible for the development of cultural policy in the state.
The consideration of different levels of implementation of targeted state programs and analyzing the effectiveness of cultural policy at the federal and regional levels are important.
The study noted the need to identify gaps in the field of cultural policy of Russia and a critical approach allows to find the possibility of their filling.
