The article examines the main vectors for the implementation of the state information policy. The priorities, strategic goal-setting, and tactical tasks of the state information policy are examined using the example of the city of Moscow in the context of topical problems of reputation management.

Historical Factors of Development of Nationalism in Post-Soviet Russia

The article is devoted to the determination of the main historical factors of the development of post-Soviet nationalism. These include the contradictoriness of Soviet national policy, the ethnocentric way of thinking enriched by Soviet ethnology, the legitimizing deficit of post-Soviet independent states. It is concluded that it is necessary to overcome the primordial paradigm as a basic condition for counteracting nationalist ideology in the context of comprehending the historical factors of its development in the post-Soviet space. Possible historical prospects in the development of interethnic relations in post-Soviet Russia are defined.

Comparative analysis of the contribution of Nigeria and Russia to the growth of regional organizations (case study of ECOWAS and CIS)

The quest for globalization redefined the geopolitics of the world through regional integration, bilateral agreements and multilateral cooperation across borders as the mainstream of the international system. This new development encourages powerful state actors to become more involved in the affairs of governmental structures in the contemporary world order. This article analyzed the contributions of regional state actors toward inter-governmental organizations, using the examples of Nigeria impact in ECOWAS and Russian strong influence in CIS.

Serbian-Russian energy cooperation (case study of South Stream)

The contemporary relationship between Russian and Western Balkans can be attributed to the renewed Russian energy interests in the Western Balkans and Serbian regions. The proposed South Stream project is supposed to transport Russian oil and gas through the Western Balkans and Serbia region to the European continent, so it has generated interest among various countries interested in the energy project. Russian energy projects in the field of transport infrastructure in the region largely correspond to the energy interests of Serbia. most. Also, Russian energy companies are trying to seize the energy infrastructure of Serbia and the Balkans, and in the last decade have been quite successful in it.

What Slavic tribe first named itself Rus and what follows from this?

Based on the analysis of numerous historical studies, the author states that the first Slavic tribe, called Rus, were glades (Kyivans), occupying not the vast territory of the established Old Russian state. The current Kyiv political elite denies its Russianness, and therefore, according to the author, loses the right of historical succession. On the Russian land there must also exist a corresponding statehood.

The features of the development of the Russian language in the era of globalization

The article analyses the functioning of the Russian language in the context of globalization of the English language: the changes in functional status, in vocabulary and phraseology, phonetics and grammar of the Russian language. Special attention is paid to the specificity of functioning of the Russian language as the language of international cooperation, as the state language of the Russian Federation, the reasons of the dominance of the publicist style in the system of functional styles of the Russian language. It is concluded that the desire to choose new means of expression, new forms of imagery due the de-tabooed certain lexical and semantic layers stimulates the global English penetration into oral and written Russian speech.

Terek Cossacks Foot soldier («Plsatuns») in Army of General Denikin

Foot Cossacks (Plastun) are not as known and cavalry-Cossacks, but such units were among the Cossack forces of Russian Empire. They were also in Terek Cossack army, however Cossacks themselves did not like to serve as infantry. During the Civil War in the army several plastun brigades were formed. Their history, contrary to the cavalry Cossacks was not deeply studied. In this article the author made an attempt to look into structure of plastun detachments in Denikin’s army, their commanding officers and their participation in the fights on the different fronts of the Southern Russian Armed Forces.
