Compliment in everyday communication and pedagogical impact

The article is devoted to the art of the compliment, which should be understood as a product of complex work on the formation of a communication culture, which society has been trying to perform throughout its history. At present, in intercultural communication, it is increasingly necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the culture of compliments in different countries, as well as the fact that, under the influence of liberal democratic political culture, the compliment is being squeezed out of several areas of communication, in particular gender and business. All this is reflected in the educational process, where instead of encouraging the student, his praise from the teacher can cause the opposite effect. To prevent this from happening, and the compliment remains one of the most subtle tools of pedagogical influence, it should be considered as part of the general flow of ethical and cultural influence on the personality of the student.
Keywords: praise, society, reaction, psychological types, pedagogy, education, non-material rewards, compliment day.

The elementary Cossack education is considered, on the materials of the Siberian Cossack army of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The period, when the system of Cossack primary education acquired certain features of independence and class affiliation. Since the education of the Cossack estate, especially the primary one, was closely connected, with the family educational process (education of future soldiers in honor of military traditions), the elementary stage could not but have its own characteristics. In this regard, the historical experience of the institutionalization of the Cossack primary education is considered as a historical phenomenon of preserving the identity of the Cossack class. Historiographical analysis of the problem, historical-systemic and historical-genetic approaches made it possible to approach the subject of research, firstly, as an independent element within the framework of the primary education system of the Russian Empire; secondly, to trace the content and causes of the transformation Cossack school. The aim of the study was to identify the structural elements in the system of primary Cossack education on the example of its functioning in the Siberian Cossack army. The socio-political situation of the peasant class in the Zaraisk district in the 2nd half of the XIX – beginning. XX centuries., based on the materials of the state archive of the Ryazan region

The paper examines the influence and extent of the spread of populist ideology in the peasant environment. By means of analyzing the documents of the State Archive of the Ryazan region (hereinafter GARO), it was possible to trace the nature of the offenses and identify the geography of their distribution. The result of the study was the conclusion that the number of peasant illegal acts on the territory of Zaraisk uyezd was increasing at the end of the XIX century. During the analysis of the documents, the territories where the greatest number of offenses were noted were identified: the villages of Lukhovichi (today the city of Lukhovitsy), Lovtsy, Dedinovo, Verkhny Beloomut, as well as the city of Zaraysk. This is due to the well-established communication with other counties and provinces. Populist propaganda somehow influenced the peasantry and made it possible for "seditious" ideas to penetrate into the consciousness of the common people.

Criminal activities of the leaders of collaborationist repressive bodies in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kursk region, 1941-1943. (based on materials from the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Belgorod region)

The occupation of the Kursk region by German troops and their allies during the Great Patriotic War lasted for quite a long period of time (November 1941 - August 1943). The German invaders could maintain control over a rather vast territory of the Kursk region (66 districts) throughout the entire period of occupation with the help of collaborators from among the local population. The article discusses the features of the activities of the leaders of the Russian auxiliary police, city and district prisons, the secret field police to maintain the German occupation regime in the Kursk region. One of the least studied areas in the activities of the leadership of the collaborationist repressive authorities was the use of their own agents to identify members of the anti-fascist underground, the partisan movement, employees of Soviet intelligence agencies, and the mood of citizens in the occupied territory. As an information base, materials of declassified archival criminal cases investigated by officers of the USSR KGB in the Belgorod region in relation to traitors to the Motherland throughout the post-war period were used.

Sustainable landscape strategies: design for hurricane prone regions

Recently, hurricanes have increased in frequency and intensity, causing significant damage to coastal cities. The aim of sustainable landscape design is to create a resilient environment that will withstand and recover from natural disasters. Poor landscaping practices have destroyed natural ecosystems and created vulnerable conditions. This paper describes strategies in sustainable landscape for hurricane-prone regions and examines the ways in which these principles can be applied. It also presents the basic steps involved in designing sustainable landscapes for hurricane-prone regions, including LID (Low Impact Development), Plant selection and application and the implementation of hardscapes. Urban development still represents the main cause of biodiversity loss worldwide, so sustainable landscape design has emerged as a solution for cities in hurricane-prone regions. The goal of this paper is to encourage landscape architects to identify and implement sustainable landscape strategies for the protection and preservation of the environment while also meeting the needs of the local community.

In modern Russia, Orthodox cathedrals and temples play an important role in the revival of the Orthodox faith among the Cossacks. The Exaltation of the Cross Cossack Cathedral is a historically significant building that not only connects the past and present of the Cossacks, but also embodies the Orthodox faith and cultural traditions of the Cossack community. The article deals with the issues of commemoration of the military exploits of Russian Cossack explorers who defended the lands of the Amur region from the invasion of the troops of the Qing Empire in the 17th century. On the example of problematic aspects of the transmission of historical memory of the battle of Kumar and two defenses of the Albazin fortress (including those identified in the course of comparison with the American commemorative practice of preserving the memory of the exploits of the defenders of the Alamo mission) he conclusion is made about the insufficient level of reflection of the events of the history of the Far Eastern region in the mass consciousness of modern Russian society and the reasons underlying this phenomenon.

Sudan-South Sudan relations in the energy sector (2011-2022)

The article examines the features of bilateral relations between the Republic of Sudan and South Sudan in 2011-2021. The declaration of independence of South Sudan put on the agenda not only the political and diplomatic formalization of bilateral relations, but also the solution of problems in the economic sphere of the previously unified national economy.
The issue of relations between the Republic of Sudan and South Sudan, as well as the prospects for further contacts between states, have increased interest in this issue in the academic community.Problems in the interaction between Khartoum and Juba have a long and complex history, and their analysis has not lost its relevance to the present day. The division of Sudan into two parts did not lead to the establishment of good neighborly relations between North and South. The form and status have changed, but not the content of these relations, which remain unstable and conflicting due to many unresolved problems, although both sides are constantly looking for opportunities to resolve them.
After the declaration of independence of South Sudan, there were many unresolved issues that continue to have a significant impact on the political and economic prospects of the countries, including: oil, security, border demarcation, the status of Abyei, the so-called two protocol territories (Blue Nile and South Kordofan states), external debt and arrears.
This paper examines a number of economic agreements between the two countries, including in the energy sector.

The danger of expansion of the Catholic Church in the second half of the 15th century as one of the possible reasons for the renunciation of the Florentine Union in Russia

The tumultuous political processes currently sweeping the world have revived scholarly interest in the problem of confrontation between Russia and the West. The author of this article, who is concerned with the question of church–state relations in Rus' in the second half of the fifteenth century, cannot avoid paying attention to attempts at Catholic expansion to Rus' after the conclusion of the Florentine Union of 1439 and the fall of Constantinople in 1453. The motive of preserving the inviolability of the Orthodox faith and primordial spirituality became decisive in the political thought of the principality of Moscow and became the basis of Russian national identity, separating Orthodox Russia from the Catholic West.
A careful study of the history of inter–confessional relations in the second half of the fifteenth–sixteenth centuries (the period of construction of the unified Russian state), a study of the dialogue between Orthodox Russia and Catholic Rome, and reference to historical sources of the period (chronicles, polemical works) and historiography allow us to see the basis on which relations between Russia and Europe are still developing today.

China's strategy for partnership relations with Russia

The article analyses strategic partnerships as a special mechanism in China's foreign policy and the basis of Russian-Chinese relations. The aim of the study is to analyse the evolution, to identify the peculiarities and problems of the mechanism of strategic partnerships in China's foreign policy strategy and to assess the efficiency of this format by the example of relations with Russia. The author used such research methods as the problem-chronological method, which allows us to analyse the chronological stages of development of the Chinese concept of strategic partnerships; the case study method, where Russian-Chinese relations are used as an example of the implementation of strategic partnerships; the method of document analysis, which is necessary to analyse the conceptual component of China's foreign policy and determine the relationship between discourse and the practical component of foreign policy. The author concludes that the format of strategic partnerships, having gone through several stages of functional and geographical expansion and having become China's unique foreign policy tool in the post-bipolar world, still remains an important component of the country's foreign policy course, while the issue of further rethinking this concept in accordance with the requirements of the changing international environment is becoming increasingly relevant. At the same time, Russian-Chinese relations have become the most successful example of strategic partnership relations, as Moscow and Beijing are now becoming key powers in the rapidly emerging multipolar world.
