Forming psychological and pedagogical readiness of children for high school education
Modern society places new demands on personal development, particularly in terms of the emotional sphere, such as fostering initiative, courage, and the ability to make independent decisions and adapt quickly to various conditions. Addressing these challenges is closely linked to the implementation of the Russian Law on Education. This law recognizes that building a democratic society heavily relies on the creativity, engagement, and emotional resilience of its members.
The relevance and novelty of the study lies in the fact that in order to successfully achieve this goal, various classes have been created in recent years, the purpose of which is to provide an individual approach to education for both ready and unready children in order to avoid school maladjustment.
School readiness is a complex concept that requires comprehensive psychological research. This topic has been studied by L.I. Bozhovich, A.V. Zaporozhets, L.A. Venger, A.I. Zakharov, E.E. Kravtsova, A.A. Dubrovina, and others.

Intellectualization of the educational process in children’s music and art schools as a basis for the formation of personal culture
This article explores the intellectualization of the educational process in children’s music and art schools aimed at developing students’ musical thought through musical and intellectual knowledge acquisition. Knowledge is assimilated through immersion in the text of a musical work via proposed circumstances, which serve as an introduction to an artistic and imaginative task. In the process of solving this task, a transformation into an assumed role takes place leading to an artistic revelation as a subjective art experience. Thus, personal immersion into the inner world of an artist’s creativity generates a background of the formation of personal culture and a personality who is capable of feeling empathy, understanding oneself and the world in aesthetically significant categories of beauty and goodness. In this regard, we can talk about the existence of “musical vitamins” that have a positive effect on the individual and society.

Philosophical and methodological foundations of the historical development of concepts of the use of visual arts for the formation of spatial representations in modern education
The article examines the evolution of the philosophical and methodological foundations of the formation of spatial representations through the prism of visual arts in the Western European cultural tradition — from ancient mimesis to digital simulation. The relationship between the dominant philosophical paradigms (ancient cosmocentrism, medieval theocentrism, New European rationalism, modernist and postmodern deconstruction) and specific artistic methods of constructing space (mimesis, symbol, perspective, deconstruction, simulation) is revealed. The analysis is carried out in the context of the urgent tasks of modern art education, which is faced with the need to integrate historical and philosophical knowledge in order to form students' holistic understanding of space as a category constructed by culture, technology and individual perception. Special attention is paid to the methodological challenge posed to classical models by modern digital practices (virtual reality, 3D modeling) and art forms such as installation. It is concluded that the synthesis of traditional and digital methods based on an understanding of their philosophical origins makes it possible to effectively form students with complex, multidimensional spatial representations necessary for working in modern art and design practices. Teaching fine art today requires not only learning technical skills, but also understanding the deep philosophical foundations of visual language, which allows future artists, designers and media artists to consciously work with space as a multidimensional and semiotic phenomenon.

Theoretical approaches to defining the essence of the concepts of "socialization", "culture", "personal physical culture", "basic personal physical culture"
In order to determine what is meant by the terms "socialization," "culture," "physical culture of the individual," and "basic physical culture of the individual," the authors examine some of the approaches to understanding this concept by various scholars. In today's sociocultural environment, the process of individual socialization is carried out through specialized institutions that transmit social experience, values, and behavioral culture from one generation to the next. The level of an individual's culture depends on their degree of socialization and exposure to cultural heritage, as well as on the development of their individual abilities. In the context of contemporary scientific discussions about the nature of culture, the authors identify two main approaches. The first is sociological, focusing on the development of the individual's essential forces and spiritual potential. The second approach is the socio-value approach, which states that culture is a system of embodied values that transform human nature and the environment. The third approach defines culture as a historically conditioned system of ways and results of human potential development. It is culture that makes a person who they are. Based on the opinions of leading researchers, the authors analyze the concepts of "physical culture of personality" and "basic physical culture of personality". Various approaches to the definition of this concept are considered, including interpretations that focus on the results of physical development and the application of motor skills in everyday life. It also takes into account the position that personal physical education acts as a comprehensive, systematic and dynamic education reflecting the level of education, physical fitness and excellence.
Key words: socialization, physical culture of the individual, basic culture, basic physical culture of the individual, culture, personality, personal education, physical education.

The evolution of US approaches to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: a comparative analysis of diplomatic initiatives (2000–2020)
The dominant role of the United States in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations (2000-2020) and the evolution of international legal approaches require an empirical study of the mechanisms of paradigm transformation. This study identifies causal relationships between US peace initiatives and the transformation of approaches to the two-state solution through a comparative analysis of four diplomatic interventions: Camp David (2000), the Road Map (2003), the Kerry Initiative (2013-14), and the Deal of the Century (2020). A three-phase paradigmatic erosion was revealed: territorial proposals decreased from 91% to 70% across all initiatives; security discourse became a priority in the negotiations (from 23% to 67% of text content); references to UN Security Council resolutions fell by 94% (from 34 to 2 mentions). International legitimacy indicators showed that the number of abstentions at the UNGA increased by 28.6%, while support decreased; bilateral public opinion shifted below the majority threshold (support for Israel: 68% to 42%, Palestine: 57% to 39%); an inverse correlation (r = -0.87) between the strengthening of American hegemony and compliance with international law; mechanisms of “asymmetric mediation” were identified through institutional atrophy (multilateralism → unilateralism), discursive normalization (frequency of “facts on the ground”: 43→127 cases), and temporal manipulation (73% of initiatives within electoral cycles).
Key words: asymmetric mediation, securitization, territorial sovereignty, international law, multilateralism, diplomatic discourse, conflict resolution.

Historical legacies and their impact on Cambodia’s democratic transition 1993
The research explores how Cambodia's democratic transition evolved after the 1993 UNTAC-led period through an examination of its historical background. This research evaluates how French colonial rule together with the Khmer Rouge period and Vietnamese occupation have shaped Cambodia's parliamentary system and democratic practices. The research demonstrates how historical institutionalism explains how past occurrences established permanent political frameworks which maintain power centralization and elite dominance in post-1993 Cambodia. The research demonstrates that although the UNTAC period introduced democratic norms through multi-party elections the political system continues to be dominated by historical factors which block complete democratic consolidation. The research helps explain how post-conflict democratization processes encounter barriers stemming from historical trauma which has implications for nations undergoing comparable democratic transitions. Future research needs to investigate external actor involvement in democratization processes and perform comparative studies of post-conflict transitions to better understand how authoritarian legacies can be overcome.
Key words: democratic transition, historical legacies, UNTAC, Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), Khmer Rouge, political patronage, democratization challenges, post-1993 Cambodia.

The influence of oil and mineral resources on foreign policy: examining Cameroon's international relations and investment attraction
This article investigates the complex interplay between Cameroon's substantial hydrocarbon and mineral endowments and its conduct in international affairs. Utilizing a qualitative methodology grounded in resource diplomacy theory and dependency analysis, it examines how these assets shape diplomatic engagements, alliance formations, and foreign investment flows. While acknowledging arguments emphasizing the constraints of resource dependency, the study posits that Cameroon actively leverages its resources for strategic autonomy and development partnerships. Key findings reveal a pattern of diversified partnerships mitigating traditional dependency risks, though governance challenges persist. The research contributes novel insights by dissecting Cameroon's specific strategies within the broader "resource curse" discourse and its implications for middle-power resource states in Africa.

The Meiji restoration as a political project: transformation of feudal institutions and formation of the military-industrial complex
The Meiji Restoration (1868–1912) marked a period of radical transformation in Japan’s socio-economic structures, where the centralization of power and modernization of the state apparatus were accompanied by the deliberate strengthening of the military-industrial complex. The replacement of feudal domains with prefectures (1871) established a unified governance system focused on subsidizing key industries – metallurgy, shipbuilding, and other strategic sectors. Institutional reforms, enshrined in the 1889 Constitution and imperial decrees, legitimized resource redistribution through protectionist measures, including tax incentives and direct investments. This led to the formation of an alliance between bureaucracy and financial-industrial elites (zaibatsu, powerful conglomerates). The ideological foundation of these reforms combined the doctrine of kokutai (“national identity”), the samurai code of bushido, and the Shinto emperor cult, which sacralized militarization as a path to “national revival.” The state promoted this concept through education and media to mask the social costs of modernization, such as rural impoverishment, redirecting discontent toward expansionist policies. An analysis of legislative and economic measures during the Meiji era reveals that the abolition of the class system in 1871 did not eliminate authoritarianism but transformed it: former mechanisms of guild control were replaced by strict regulation of resources and labor for the defense sector. The study uncovers the mechanisms of this transformation, emphasizing the continuity of resource concentration methods under late industrialization, from agrarian reforms to authoritarian planning.
Key words: Meiji Restoration, modernization, centralization of power, military-industrial complex (MIC), zaibatsu, kokutai, militarization, expansionism.

Institutional imbalance in Cambodia’s parliamentary system: a structural barrier to democracy
This research investigates the ongoing institutional imbalance in Cambodia's parliamentary system after the 1993 Constitution took effect. The Constitution establishes separate powers between the executive and legislative and judicial branches but executive dominance limits the operational independence of other institutions in practice. The research shows that the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) maintains centralized power while patronage networks and politically aligned judicial structures have led to the decline of democratic accountability. The paper conducts a qualitative examination of legal and political structures to show how the National Assembly and judiciary remain structurally subordinate which damages public trust and hinders rule of law and meaningful reform efforts. The research evaluates executive consolidation mechanisms to propose constitutional and legal and political reforms which would restore democratic principles from the 1993 settlement by rebalancing institutional relationships.

Global partnership and regional realities: assessing the effectiveness of international cooperation in the fight against human trafficking in West Africa
In West Africa, human trafficking is one of the most serious transnational crimes, as the existence of porous borders, poverty, and dysfunction in governance contribute to the practice of forced labor and sexual exploitation. This document assesses the effectiveness of international cooperation in addressing the crisis, as well as the multi-level governance model used to examine the interactions of global donors, ECOWAS, and national institutions in Nigeria, Ghana, and Benin. The presence of partnerships has facilitated the development of regional action plans, the training of law enforcement personnel, and data collection systems; however, their effectiveness has been impacted by inefficient implementation, corruption, and national capacity. Despite improvements in victim identification, protection services are poorly funded, and existing gaps in legislation and data exchange mechanisms contribute to human trafficking. The study shows that foreign programs, despite their proper organization, lack local ownership, accountability, and sustainability. The research employs qualitative analysis, including a systematic review of non-numerical data to identify patterns, meanings, and correlations, such as official and publicly accessible documents. The author summarizes data from program documents of government institutions, such as the NAPTIP report for 2025, international organizations (UNODC, IOM), academic papers, government statements, and intergovernmental communications. To move forward constructively, strengthening the institutional framework in the countries, engaging civil society and victims in the policymaking process, and coordinated legislative measures are required. Achieving sustainability in the fight against human trafficking in West Africa necessitates replacing “top-down” measures with sustainable, context-based approaches. The fight against human trafficking in West Africa demonstrates both the potential and the dangers of transnational cooperation. Multi-level governance structures and robust donor resources have enabled significant progress—regional task forces, improved data processing infrastructure, and important memoranda of understanding. However, shortcomings in law enforcement and data sharing, bottlenecks, and limited resources remain vulnerabilities that traffickers can still exploit.
Key words: human trafficking, cross-border crimes, human rights, West Africa, international cooperation, foreign policy, poverty, Multi-level governance, ECOWAS, UNODC.

Milestones in UN peacekeeping in Africa
Since its inception in 1945, United Nations peacekeeping has evolved into a cornerstone of international efforts to stabilize conflict zones. In Africa, peacekeeping began with small observer missions and rapidly expanded in scale and complexity, reflecting the continent’s shifting political landscape and the UN’s growing ambition to protect civilians and support post-conflict reconstruction. This study offers a comprehensive historical analysis of UN peacekeeping in Africa, charting its evolution through three distinct “generations” of operations from 1960 to the present. By synthesizing case studies and official records, the work seeks to clarify how mission design, and host-state cooperation have influenced both effectiveness and legitimacy, ultimately providing a roadmap for future reform.
A qualitative, historical-analytical approach is employed, combining archival UN documents, mission reports, academic literature, and selected case-study interviews to reconstruct operational trajectories and assess impact.
This research contributes novel insights by systematizing UN peacekeeping in Africa into three generations which are traditional observer missions (1960–1987), multidimensional Cold War and post-Cold War operations (1988–1996), and contemporary peace support operations (1997–present) and by evaluating their defining features. It highlights how early missions like ONUC set precedents for mandate flexibility, how second-generation efforts introduced electoral monitoring and disarmament, and how third-generation operations emphasize civilian protection and integrated state-building. The study concludes that mission success hinges on realistic mandates, robust logistical support, and genuine host-state partnerships. It also underscores persistent challenges such as troop conduct, financing, and Security Council dynamics and recommends enhanced local engagement and clearer rules of engagement to improve future missions’ effectiveness.
Key words: United Nations, peacekeeping, Africa, conflict, operations, civilian, protection, mandate, mission, Security.

Factors of 'failure' in the distribution of revolutionary Soviet cinema of the 1920s
The article touches upon the problem of the ideological state of modern Russian cinema, which does not always respond to government requests. After the events in 2022, the Russian Federation focuses on returning to traditional values, but the plots of new films that could help the state promote these values do not correspond to the new narratives. The article reveals the connection between the times. In the 1920s, our state was experiencing a similar historical context, namely an ideological crisis. Artists came to help in the construction of the new system. However, Soviet cinema in the 1920s, which Lenin relied on, failed to win over the audience. The majority preferred foreign cinema and pre-revolutionary films, as well as films with destructive plots. It was possible to oust such plots only in the 30s, when the first Soviet favorites appeared on the screens. The purpose of the study is to analyze the failures of Soviet cinema in the 1920s, in order to learn from the mistakes of the past and avoid the mistakes of the future. In conclusion, concrete steps are shown to make ideologically correct films popular in modern society.
Key words: ideological crisis, Soviet cinema, modern cinema, Dziga Vertov, traditional values.
